An introductory bridge book,
To Bid or Not to Bid is a thorough
explanation of the law of total tricks and its utilisation. It is
pitched at a level that makes it accessible to the average club player,
but experts who haven't seen a clear formulation of the law before may
also find it interesting. Much of the book is taken up with examples of
the law in action, all from high level competition, presented clearly,
with diagrams repeated if necessary so that they are always visible when
appropriate.
To Bid or Not to Bid is an easy book to read and one with
a very simple message, but it is also a book which will bear rereading.
