Dialogues Concerning Natural Religion

David Hume

A book review by Danny Yee © 1992 https://dannyreviews.com/
Hume's dialogues are a dramatic exploration of the nature and attributes of God and of how much man can know about them. While not explicitly atheistical (remember they were written in 18th century Britain!) the overriding conclusion is extreme scepticism about man's ability to know God.

Hume's refutations of the argument from design and the cosmological argument have never been answered, and so these dialogues are still of interest to anyone interested in theology or metaphysics today.
